Christmas Highlights

Avery had a special Christmas program at her school, called the Festival of Lights.
She sang two songs with her class in Spanish.  I loved watching her perform.  She was so adorable.

Baby girl figured out how to get her arm out of her jammies!  Silly goose.

Here she is saying "CHEESE!" and looking like Cindy Lou Who

 Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving....a little late

First to start with a silly girl and boy...

We spent this Thanksgiving in Scottsdale, Arizona.  PJ had to go there for a work conference, so we tagged along.  We stayed at a NICE hotel on the school's dime.
One of our favorite experiences was the race the kiddos & daddy participated in on Thanksgiving morning.  Avery ran the whole mile, while I jogged with Alex, pushing Clarissa in the stroller.
PJ ran ten miles in 63 minutes!  Incredible.
It was pretty chilly, so I covered her legs in Daddy's shirt.
 Stretching after the race

The weather was just barely warm enough to swim in a heated pool,
but we spent most of our time in the jaccuzi.

Avery loved the lazy river!  What a fun hotel!

Pie eating contest...mmm

We had our Thanksgiving dinner after returning home.  PJ made the whole thing.
How lucky are we?!?

Halloween.....a bit late

For Halloween this year, Alex was Super Why and Avery made her own "rainbow fairy" costume.

Clarissa was our little Christmas tree.  The hat stayed on for about 30 seconds.

We went to Avery's school's Halloween Hoopla, where the kids played games, ate candy, and rode ponies.

We did a race (5K for mom, 1K for kids) on the 30th in Whittier.  Every participant got a medal.

 Our awesome pumpkins!

We had a great Halloween!  We got SO much candy, that we gave lots to the soldiers with
Operation Gratitude.  I definitely want to do that in the future.
