Conversations with Children

Earlier I wrote about the frustration we were having with getting Avery to eat at least one bite of dinner. Well, I think our perserverance is paying off, because we have less of a fight with her now. We've figured out that she really likes rewards for eating her food (I'm sure this isn't the BEST way to entice her) and usually we promise her a bath WITH toys. Sometimes the reward is a piece of Halloween candy --- we still have about 4 left. This video was taken after a successful dinner while Avery's licking her treat. I love the slurpy sounds she makes, as well as the recounting of her meal. At the beginning of the video, she keeps saying "Cheese!" because she thinks we're taking her picture.

Alex has started "talking" lately. It sounds kind of like a cross between a squawk and a cough. Here he is in his exersaucer, talking and shoving his fists into his mouth. Such a sweetie. What cracks me up is listening to PJ imitate his cough/talk. So funny.
