Cindy the Conference Bear

This Conference, we tried to watch all the sessons on our computer---something we've tried to do since having kids, but it has proven more and more difficult. We had a variety of crafts and games to keep Avery fairly occupied, and this helped keep her attention during those hours of talks. Her favorite activity by far was this "Make a Bear" kit. It consisted of stuffing this bear, drawing on the t-shirt and dressing the bear. She loved it, and has named her Cindy Bear. Now she takes the bear with her wherever she goes. And the name is Cindy Bear, NOT Cindy. Every time I think of this bear's name, the Mack Wilberg arrangement of "Cindy" plays in my head over and over and over!!! Lots of key changes and hand-clapping ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMFGGz8ACBU&feature=related

I LOVE that arrangement. I'll bet Avery will love it too!

Conference was amazing, wasn't it?! It would be nearly impossible to list all my favorite parts because there were so many... Although I loved Saturday's second session because of the children's choir from Kaysville. Every song they sang, the girls got excited for. They would stop, gasp, then excitedly say, "I know this one"! They would then proceed to sing along.

It's great to hear that Avery had such a positive experience. Good for you for instilling in her the good habit of watching. The voices of the prophets can become as meaningful and comforting to her too!
